Anesthesiologist (Per Diem) - Ambulatory Surgery

About the role

Optum NY/NJ, part of UnitedHealth Group, is looking for an Anesthesiologist (Ambulatory/Office Based) to work per diem in New York, NY. The department is a well-established group providing ambulatory anesthesia services in the tri-state region, with board-certified general anesthesiologists as well as subspecialty-trained pediatric and regional anesthesiologists. It covers multispecialty surgical and procedure suites and several ambulatory surgery centers.

Key responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia care in the group's surgical and procedure suites and ambulatory surgery centers.
• Practice in a collegial group practice with a large referral base, supported by excellent support staff and dedicated practice management systems.
• Use a state-of-the-art electronic medical record (EMR) system in a patient-centered, provider-led, team-based environment.

Required profile

• Unrestricted New York medical license, or an application in process.
• Board certification or board eligibility in Anesthesiology.
• Active and unrestricted DEA license, or ability to obtain one before starting.
• Subspecialty training preferred but not required.
