Android Software Engineer (Level 4)

About the role

Snap Inc. is looking for an Android Software Engineer (Level 4) to push the limits of mobile devices and create fun, stable experiences for hundreds of millions of Snapchat users worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and launch Android features from concept through production.
• Build smooth, stable, and engaging user experiences using Kotlin, Java, RxJava, and Dagger.
• Evaluate technical trade‑offs and collaborate with design on UI and infrastructure best practices.
• Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure quality, security, and performance.
• Leverage AI tools and high‑velocity engineering workflows to ship scalable services while maintaining rigorous standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 2+ years of professional Android development experience (or Master’s +1 year, PhD + experience).
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and adapt to evolving AI tools.
• Strong judgment to audit AI‑generated code for architectural integrity, performance, and security.
