American Girl Restaurant Lead (Dallas)

About the role

The American Girl Restaurant Lead works at the AG Retail Dallas location and reports directly to the Restaurant Manager. The role supports the restaurant manager with daily operations, giving leadership and direction to the department and delivering a high level of selling and customer service to guests. It is a full-time, fast-paced position.

Key responsibilities

• Help the restaurant leadership team oversee staffing, hiring, coaching and training, purchasing and vendor relations, inventories, and food and beverage service standards, while keeping safety and sanitation standards
• Assist the team in reaching department revenue and expense goals
• Ensure customer satisfaction with the dining experience and oversee resolution of customer service issues
• Maintain food quality and consistency, handle special requests and special dietary needs, and cover for the restaurant leadership team when absent
• Work with restaurant and store management to deliver events and programs, and keep staff and management informed
• Troubleshoot operational issues, including kitchen equipment, the Zomato reservation system, POS, and InfoGenesis software

Required profile

• Restaurant experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, with front and back of house exposure, preferred
• Experience working with children, preferred
• Current State Sanitation Certification, ServSafe and Safe Alcohol Consumption Certification, preferred
• Ability to perform diverse physical tasks, including constant walking and standing and some heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs.)
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays

Required skills

• Strong working knowledge of the Eatec system, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), InfoGenesis/Universal Desktop, Zomato reservation systems, JTech paging system, POS systems, inventory systems and basic office equipment, preferred

The pay range is $17 to $20.40 per hour, depending on location, skills and experience. Mattel offers competitive total pay programs and comprehensive benefits.
