Aisles Online Shopper - Weekends

About the role

Hy-Vee is hiring Aisles Online Shoppers for its online shopping department in Papillion. You will pick the best-quality groceries for online orders, from fresh produce and meat to pantry staples, so that every order is fulfilled with care and precision. The role suits someone who enjoys staying active, takes pride in doing a job right and thrives working independently in a fast-paced environment. Shifts are weekends.

Key responsibilities

• Greet every customer warmly and assist them with their needs throughout the store
• Select the highest quality produce, meat and other fresh products for online orders
• Select, scan and bag items from all temperature zones, keeping products at the right temperature
• Place orders in storage, retrieve them before the customer arrives and cart them to the holding area
• Lift, carry and load groceries into customer vehicles
• Tender orders through the POS and process credit card payments
• Substitute products on request or when items are unavailable
• Monitor incoming orders to ensure prompt, on-time fulfillment
• Answer phones and emails promptly and follow dress code, hygiene standards and company guidelines
• Pitch in with other tasks or special projects

• Ability to stay organized and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Problem-solving skills, including making product substitutions on the fly
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Required skills

• Ability to safely use sharp knives and blades where applicable
• Ability to operate a delivery vehicle in line with DOT standards where applicable
• Ability to perform repetitive standing, walking, reaching and bending during order fulfillment, POS transactions and cleaning

The work is fast-moving and takes place mainly in a retail store, with possible exposure to dust, noise, temperature extremes and moving equipment. Training is provided on safety. Employment is contingent on passing a pre-employment drug screen.
