Aisles Online Service Lead

About the role

Hy-Vee's Aisles Online department runs on the leadership of people who keep operations moving smoothly while giving every customer an outstanding experience. As an Aisles Online Service Lead, you will help manage daily operations, direct labor and keep the team focused, supervising employees, organizing workflow and handling customer concerns so that every order is fulfilled accurately and on time. This is an hourly, fast-paced role based in a retail store.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly, assist them with their needs and handle and resolve customer concerns
• Supervise and direct Aisles Online employees, organizing and planning labor for efficiency and cost control
• Maintain in-house quality control, including cleaning and proper handling of equipment and merchandise
• Communicate with supervisors about labor needs, receiving, storage, rotation and delivery issues
• Respond to questions and issues from employees and customers in a timely, professional way
• Maintain employee records and document employee interactions
• Train new employees and complete performance and productivity reviews
• Recommend employee disciplinary action where appropriate
• Take part in team meetings as assigned, answer the phone promptly and take customer orders
• Follow the dress code, hygiene standards and company guidelines, and pitch in with other tasks or special projects

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Six months of similar or related job experience preferred
• Ability to lead, direct and support a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Ability to stay organized and manage multiple priorities at once
• Ability to handle confidential information such as sales reports and profit and loss data with discretion
• Physical demands include frequent standing and walking, repetitive standing, walking, reaching and bending, and exposure to heat, dust, noise and cleaning chemicals; training is provided

Required skills

• Strong math skills, including arithmetic, algebraic and geometric calculations
• Clear, professional communication with customers, team members and supervisors
• Logical problem solving

Reporting to the Store Director, Store Manager, Assistant Managers and the Aisles Online Department Manager, and reporting on Aisles Online employees. Employment is contingent on a pre-employment drug screen.
