AI/ML Engineer

About the role

CACI is looking for an AI/ML Engineer to support the development of AI/ML algorithms across many disciplines, including large language models, natural language processing and time-series predictive analytics. The engineer works in a multidisciplinary team of developers and researchers focused on building ETL pipelines that support AI/ML and LLM solutions for customer challenges. The position is full time, regular, with up to 10% travel within continental USA and requires an active TS/SCI security clearance.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble large, complex data sets to support AI/ML algorithm implementation
• Build the infrastructure needed to extract, transform and load data from various sources
• Curate and maintain data used for metrics and evaluation
• Develop and implement AI/ML algorithms
• Redesign infrastructure for greater scalability, optimize data delivery and automate manual processes
• Use Agile methodologies to develop software

Required profile

• B.S. in Data Science, AI/ML, Computer Science or a related field
• 3+ years of experience, preferably as a Data Engineer/Scientist, Machine Learning Engineer or software developer
• Active TS/SCI U.S. Government security clearance (polygraph preferred)

Required skills

• Data pipeline development and normalization with Python (NumPy, Pandas, Polars)
• Team collaboration using version control (Git, GitLab, Bitbucket)
• Desired: GitLab, DevSecOps, test-driven development, Docker, AWS, Spark/Pyspark, Linux, and GenAI tools (LangChain, HuggingFace, MLFlow, Arize Phoenix)
• Desired: experience leading interdisciplinary teams, and knowledge of LLMs, transformers, NLP, reinforcement learning, clustering, deep learning, and GPU programming with CUDA
