AI Specialist

About the role

Our client, an employee‑owned commercial electrical contracting firm in the US Southwest, is expanding its AI and automation capabilities. The AI Specialist will lead the end‑to‑end design, implementation, and rollout of AI‑driven workflows across estimating, project management, recruiting, marketing, and back‑office functions.

Key responsibilities

• Audit the current software ecosystem and pinpoint high‑ROI automation opportunities.
• Design and ship multi‑step workflows using Power Automate, Zapier, or n8n, integrated with Microsoft 365 and line‑of‑business tools.
• Build prompt systems and reusable frameworks around ChatGPT Enterprise, Microsoft Copilot, Claude, or other domain‑specific AI platforms.
• Collaborate with IT and security to ensure data privacy, access controls, and risk compliance before deployment.
• Train department leaders and their teams, monitor adoption, and measure impact.
• Prepare ROI reports and recommend scaling, refactoring, or sunsetting workflows.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience building AI systems, automations, or data integrations in a paid role.
• Hands‑on production experience with at least two of Power Automate, Zapier, or n8n.
• Proficiency with generative AI tools such as ChatGPT Enterprise, Microsoft Copilot, or Claude within real workflows.
• Strong prompt‑engineering and workflow‑logic abilities.
• Ability to script in Python or JavaScript for cases where no‑code solutions fall short.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
• Excellent stakeholder communication skills.
