AI Enablement Intern - Summer 2027

About the role

Avis Budget Group is looking for an AI Enablement Intern for its summer 2027 program. You will work across the business to help shape how artificial intelligence is used in real operations, collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify, develop and implement AI-driven solutions that improve customer experience, optimize operations and support smarter decisions. The role is paid $30-$35 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to identify and evaluate opportunities for AI adoption across business processes
• Support the execution of AI initiatives by coordinating efforts across teams and helping move projects from concept to implementation
• Translate business needs into practical AI use cases, tools and workflows
• Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical teams to ensure alignment and clear communication
• Promote awareness of AI capabilities so teams can integrate AI into their daily work
• Explore emerging AI tools and recommend applications that improve efficiency and outcomes

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field; Master's degree candidates preferred
• Prior internship or professional experience in a business, technology or related field
• Strong interest in AI and familiarity with AI tools, with an "AI-native" mindset
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to work across diverse teams
• Proactive, self-starting, able to manage multiple projects and priorities
• Collaborative, willing to support and educate teammates with varying levels of AI exposure
• Maturity, adaptability and problem-solving skills
