AI Enablement Intern - Summer 2027

About the role

Avis Budget Group is looking for an AI Enablement Intern for its summer 2027 program. You will work across the business, collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify, develop and implement AI-driven solutions that improve customer experience, optimize operations and support smarter decision-making. The role offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to identify and evaluate opportunities for AI adoption across business processes.
• Support the execution of AI initiatives by coordinating efforts across teams and helping move projects from concept to implementation.
• Translate business needs into practical AI use cases, tools and workflows.
• Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical teams to ensure alignment and clear communication.
• Promote awareness of AI capabilities so teams can integrate AI into their daily work.
• Explore emerging AI tools and recommend applications that improve efficiency and outcomes.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field; Master's degree candidates preferred.
• Prior internship or professional experience in a business, technology or related field.
• Strong interest in AI and familiarity with AI tools, with an "AI-native" mindset.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to work across diverse teams.
• Proactive, self-starter who can manage multiple projects and priorities, and collaborative with a willingness to support and educate teammates.
