Ag Operator – Manufacturing Equipment Operator

About the role

The Ag Operator is responsible for setting up, running, and adjusting manufacturing equipment to produce high‑quality plastic film and bag products in a safe environment. This role supports multiple production lines and ensures compliance with safety, GMP, and ISO standards.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, start, shut down, and change over equipment according to procedures.
• Maintain safety standards, conduct daily inspections, and follow all company safety policies.
• Monitor and record quality data, report weight variances and defects to the Section Leader.
• Adjust equipment settings (heat profiles, speed, alignment) to optimize yield and reduce scrap.
• Perform routine equipment repairs, preventive maintenance, and write work requests for complex issues.
• Handle material flow, including staging resins, fillers, and packaging supplies.
• Operate forklifts and electric pallet jacks, and ensure proper housekeeping to 6‑S standards.
• Assist in training new employees and support multiple lines simultaneously.

Required profile

• Forklift certification and electric pallet jack certification.
• Ability to read and follow Bill of Materials (BOM) and work instructions.
• Strong attention to safety, quality, and housekeeping standards.
• Willingness to work across Low Density, High Density, Pack Area, and Agricultural departments.
