After‑Care Co‑Lead (WAE‑Cub Care)

About the role

The WAE‑Cub Care Co‑Lead supports classroom activities and assists students in an after‑care setting at 0106A Lab High School. This role combines supervision, instructional support, and safety oversight to help children achieve their academic and social goals.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the classroom and monitor student attendance, ensuring a safe and organized environment.
• Assist students individually or in small groups with reading, spelling, language activities, motor‑perception programs, and homework checks.
• Maintain classroom and common areas, including housekeeping duties and playground supervision.
• Participate in staff meetings, training, and dismissal procedures, greeting parents and coordinating child pick‑up.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in education or child development.
• Teaching certificate (preferably K‑5) or eligibility for certification in Louisiana.
