Advanced Practice RN – Obstetrics & Gynecology (Full‑Time)

About the role

The University of Miami UHealth Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is seeking a full‑time Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to provide outpatient care for the Gynecology Oncology service. The APRN works closely with physicians to deliver comprehensive assessments, procedures, and patient education.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive histories, physical, neurological, and gynecological examinations.
• Perform screening and diagnostic procedures such as pap smears, colposcopy, LEEP, cryotherapy, biopsies, endocervical curettage, and IUD insertion/removal.
• Manage patient follow‑up, education, and continuity of care.
• Collaborate with physicians on complex cases and adjust drug therapies according to protocols.
• Recruit and coordinate patients for Gynecologic Oncology research trials.
• Assist in teaching housestaff and students rotating through the service.
• Support nursing staff development and shared governance activities.

Required profile

• Current APRN licensure with experience in obstetrics, gynecology, or oncology.
• Ability to work independently within the legal scope of practice.
• Strong communication skills for patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration.
