Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) – Outpatient Surgical & Medical Spine

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Neurological Institute seeks a full‑time Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to independently manage outpatient spine patients. You will collaborate with surgeons, physicians, and the multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care for surgical and medical spine conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and diagnose patients with spinal pathology, including post‑procedural follow‑up.
• Develop and execute treatment plans, exercising autonomy while coordinating with staff physicians.
• Counsel and educate patients about their conditions, treatment options, and self‑care.
• Order and interpret laboratory, radiology, and other diagnostic tests as needed.
• Prescribe and monitor medications in accordance with state licensure and Cleveland Clinic policies.

Required profile

• Nationally certified NP (RN license required) or PA (PA‑C certification) with active state license.
• MSN or equivalent graduate degree for NPs (or PA master’s degree) from an accredited program.
• Current Basic Life Support certification; ACLS, PALS, NRP, or ATLS as applicable.
• Ability to work independently in an outpatient setting with a regular 8‑hour day schedule (no call, weekends, or holidays).
• Strong clinical skills in spinal disorders preferred; newly licensed candidates with interest in spine are welcome.

• Interpretation of lab, radiology, cardiographic, and other diagnostic results.
