Advanced Practice Provider (APRN/PA) - Medical Oncology

About the role

Jupiter Medical Center, ranked #1 for safety, quality and patient satisfaction, is hiring an Advanced Practice Provider (APRN/PA) in medical oncology. The provider works alongside physicians and other patient care team members in an active practice, delivering care to patients and families.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, performing procedures and prescribing medications under protocol
• Provide patient education and counseling
• Work in collaboration with physicians and other team members
• Participate in the marketing, evaluation and growth of the center
• Support the physician and act as first assistant in the operating room
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required profile

• Masters degree in Nursing or a Physician Assistant degree
• Licensure in the State of Florida as APRN/RN or Physician Assistant
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association for healthcare providers
• Ability to lift and move patients and heavy equipment, including pushing or pulling up to 40 lbs and carrying or lifting up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work in a stressful environment, make sound decisions independently and work with attention to detail

Annual Joint Commission mandatory education, in-service and health requirements, TB/PPD surveillance program, and maintenance of professional licensure and certification are also required.
