Adult Health Visiting Professor

About the role

The Adult Health Visiting Professor will teach an 8‑week, one‑day‑per‑week course on medical‑surgical nursing for adult patients. The position is part‑time, on‑site, and offers a flexible schedule with competitive compensation.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver clinical experiences, supervise and evaluate nursing students during patient care.
• Develop and post written clinical assignments aligned with students' knowledge and skill levels.
• Provide timely feedback on homework, quizzes, tests, and clinical paperwork.
• Maintain current knowledge of agency/clinical policies and serve as a liaison between students and clinical sites.
• Contribute to curriculum development, program evaluation, and college initiatives.
• Serve as a professional role model in communication, collaboration, and professionalism.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Nursing.
• Current RN licensure in the state of practice.
• At least 2 years of recent nursing practice experience.
• Excellent communication skills and sound judgment.
