Adult Health Clinical Faculty (Part-Time)

About the role

Chamberlain University, a large nursing school in Tinley Park, Illinois, is looking for a part-time Visiting Professor in Adult Health Clinical Faculty. You will act as a professor for nursing students, helping them reach their educational and career goals with a flexible schedule, mentorship and support programs.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the College's philosophy, curriculum, program outcomes and course objectives through clinical teaching and service to the College, community, health system and profession.
• Plan clinical experiences and supervise and evaluate nursing students delivering care to individuals or groups.
• Provide documented feedback on student performance and offer remediation when needed.
• Keep current on agency and clinical policies and procedures with the help of agency personnel.
• Develop and post written clinical assignments suited to each student's knowledge and learning needs.
• Correct and return homework, quizzes, tests, lab assignments and clinical paperwork in a timely way.
• Contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of programs and the College, and may teach didactic content under the course coordinator's supervision.
• Report to the dean or assistant dean, and handle other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Nursing (required).
• At least 2 years of recent nursing practice experience as a registered nurse within the last five years (required).
• Professional Nurse licensure in the state of Illinois (required).
• Excellent communication skills, initiative and prudent judgment.

What we offer

• Expected compensation of $1,120 to $7,245 per assignment, depending on education and experience; actual pay may vary with course type, experience, location and other factors.
