Admissions Systems Specialist

About the role

The Admissions Systems Specialist supports the operational and technical functions of the University of Miami’s Miami Herbert Business School admissions process, focusing on the Slate CRM platform. The role ensures smooth application workflows, accurate data, and effective communication for Specialized Masters, MBA, and doctoral programs.

Key responsibilities

• Configure, update, and maintain Slate CRM forms, fields, queries, and basic workflows.
• Build complex workflows, pop‑rules, automations, and dynamic portals.
• Create and maintain dashboards tracking recruitment funnels, event attendance, and application volume.
• Troubleshoot data quality issues, field mapping, and integration failures.
• Manage Slate integrations with SIS, marketing automation tools, and third‑party data providers.
• Support checklist logic, interview scheduling tools, and automated applicant communications.
• Assist with admissions event setup, interview logistics, and travel planning within the CRM.

Required profile

• Experience working with Slate CRM or similar higher‑education CRM systems.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to data accuracy.
• Ability to collaborate with admissions, marketing, and IT teams.

Required skills

• Slate CRM configuration and workflow design
• HTML/CSS and Liquid markup for template customization
• SQL‑style queries, data imports/exports, and dashboard creation
• Data integration and troubleshooting
• Email and SMS drip communication setup
