Admissions Specialist

About the role

Holding Hands Pediatric Therapy & Adult Services is seeking a full‑time Admissions Specialist to manage the admissions process for families and referral sources with empathy and professionalism.

Key responsibilities

• Answer phones and respond to inquiries regarding admissions, collecting and verifying required documentation.
• Verify patient eligibility, insurance benefits, and request authorizations for services.
• Maintain timely follow‑up on pending admissions, update system records, and collaborate with internal teams.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance, communicate operational needs, and support other departmental duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; at least 6 months of customer service or administrative experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with a compassionate approach to families and referral sources.
• Excellent organizational abilities, attention to detail, and capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Successful completion of a Department of Justice background check.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and spreadsheet data entry.

What we offer

• Hourly wage ranging from $20.00 to $25.00.
