Admissions Specialist – Berkley School of Nursing

About the role

The Admissions Specialist supports the Berkley School of Nursing (BSON) at Georgetown University by guiding prospective students through the entire enrollment journey. This position works closely with the Assistant Dean of Admissions and multiple campus departments to ensure a smooth, informative, and welcoming experience for applicants.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full admissions cycle from initial inquiry to final matriculation for undergraduate and graduate nursing programs.
• Assess applicant needs and communicate how BSON programs align with personal, academic, and professional goals.
• Serve as liaison between prospective students, faculty, and university support services.
• Maintain regular follow‑up with candidates via phone, email, text, and in‑person meetings.
• Collect and verify required documents such as applications, transcripts, and other records.
• Update and track applicant interactions in the CRM system.
• Coordinate and host webinars, open houses, and other recruitment events, both virtual and on‑site.
• Provide accurate information on curriculum, tuition, financial aid, career outcomes, and program formats.

Required profile

• Experience in higher‑education admissions, student services, or related outreach roles.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities to engage diverse prospective students.
• Detail‑oriented approach to document collection and data management.
• Ability to collaborate with faculty, staff, and external partners.
• Willingness to travel locally for recruitment events and student days.
