Administrative Float – Oncology Support

About the role

The Administrative Float Oncology provides cross‑functional support for Oncology Financial Navigation, Prior Authorization and Infusion Scheduling. The role ensures patients receive timely access to oncology services by coordinating insurance authorizations, scheduling treatments and facilitating communication among patients, providers, payors and clinical teams.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate insurance authorizations and reauthorizations to maintain uninterrupted patient care.
• Schedule infusion treatments and related oncology services, optimizing resource utilization.
• Capture, prepare, scan and index paper documentation for the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
• Assist patients with insurance requirements, financial assistance resources and treatment processes.
• Perform quality assurance on scanned documents and resolve errors with clinical staff.
• Monitor work queues, resolve scheduling and authorization issues promptly, and provide coverage for continuity of care.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance, patient confidentiality and deliver exceptional customer service.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of healthcare experience.
• Experience in oncology, patient access, scheduling, prior authorization, financial counseling or care coordination preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
• Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and medical documentation handling.
