Adjunct Physics Faculty – Teach College & University Physics

About the role

Saint Louis University is seeking an enthusiastic adjunct faculty member to teach introductory physics courses. You will deliver both algebra‑based (College Physics I & II) for health‑science majors and calculus‑based (University Physics I & II) for STEM majors, on the North campus in St. Louis.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 3 hours per week of in‑classroom instruction.
• Hold 2 hours per week of office hours for student support.
• Prepare lecture materials, homework assignments, and examinations.
• Grade homework, exams, and provide timely feedback.
• Maintain a consistent on‑site presence at least three days per week each semester.

Required profile

• MS or Ph.D. in Physics, Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Ability to teach algebra‑based and/or calculus‑based physics sequences.
• Commitment to a flexible, semester‑to‑semester schedule.
• Willingness to work on‑site at the Saint Louis University North campus.
