Adjunct Lecturer – Business Analytics (Online Master)

About the role

The Department of Decision, Operations & Information Technologies at the Robert H. Smith School of Business seeks an Adjunct Lecturer to support the Online Master’s in Business Analytics (OMSBA) program. This part‑time faculty position will enable you to share cutting‑edge expertise with graduate students pursuing advanced analytics credentials.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deliver, and assess course modules focused on modern analytics technologies.
• Develop instructional materials, assignments, and case studies aligned with program learning outcomes.
• Utilize the Canvas learning management system to manage course content and student interactions.
• Stay current with emerging trends such as vector databases, large language models, and multi‑agent systems.
• Provide mentorship and feedback to students on project work and research initiatives.

Required profile

• Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate credits in information systems, operations management, or a related discipline.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Relevant practitioner experience in business analytics or related industry.
• Prior teaching, training, or curriculum development experience is preferred.
