Adjunct Instructor – Surgical Technology

About the role

The State of Georgia is seeking an Adjunct Instructor to teach Surgical Technology students in Griffin. This position combines classroom instruction with clinical training, supporting the development of future surgical technologists.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver lesson plans that meet state, institutional and accreditation standards.
• Evaluate student progress and provide feedback on skill acquisition.
• Maintain classroom and clinical supplies, equipment, and safety protocols.
• Prepare and submit documentation required for program accreditation and state licensing.
• Collaborate with students, faculty, and staff to address instructional needs.

Required profile

• Diploma in Surgical Technology or a related health field.
• Credentialed in Surgical Technology by an NCCA‑accredited organization.
• Minimum three years of field experience (preferred: master’s degree in healthcare science and at least one year of current operating‑room experience).
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) designation is highly desired.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Blackboard Learning Management System.
• Experience using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
• Strong computer and job‑related software skills.
