Adjunct Instructor – Public Health (Part‑time)

About the role

The Gillings School of Global Public Health seeks a part‑time Adjunct Instructor to teach courses within its Master of Public Health (MPH) program. This 1‑year, 20‑hour‑per‑week appointment supports the school’s mission to deliver rigorous, experiential public‑health education to a diverse student body.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate or graduate level public‑health courses, including lectures, discussions, and labs.
• Develop and update course materials to reflect current public‑health practice and research.
• Assess student performance through assignments, exams, and projects.
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum planning.
• Maintain academic integrity and uphold the school’s standards of excellence.

Required profile

• Advanced degree (MPH, PhD, or related) in public health or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated teaching experience at the college or university level.
• Strong communication skills and ability to engage a diverse student population.
