Adjunct Instructor – Mechanical or Civil Engineering

About the role

Texas A&M University‑Texarkana seeks part‑time adjunct instructors to teach undergraduate Mechanical or Civil Engineering courses on a per‑semester basis. Appointments are made for Fall 2026, Spring 2027 and/or Summer 2027.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver Mechanical or Civil Engineering courses in face‑to‑face, web‑enhanced, hybrid, or online formats.
• Prepare and load course content, assessments, and lecture modules.
• Grade student work, submit grades promptly, and meet census and grade deadlines.
• Provide student support through meetings and office hours.
• Perform additional administrative duties as required.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in the teaching discipline (or related field) with at least 18 graduate‑level credit hours for undergraduate courses.
• Doctorate or terminal degree with at least 18 graduate‑level credit hours for graduate‑level courses.
• Degree earned from a regionally accredited institution.
• Authorization to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship).

What we offer

• $3,300 per undergraduate section taught with a master’s degree.
