Adjunct Instructor – English (Part‑time)

About the role

The State of Georgia is seeking a qualified Adjunct Instructor to teach English and literature courses on a part‑time basis. This position involves delivering day, evening, and online classes to post‑secondary students.

Key responsibilities

• Teach English and literature courses in various formats (in‑person, evening, online).
• Prepare lesson plans, develop curricula, syllabi, and learning objectives.
• Assess student progress and maintain required documentation and reports.
• Participate in professional development and training activities.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in English, literature, composition & rhetoric, or professional writing (or equivalent graduate coursework).
• Doctorate degree or equivalent graduate coursework is preferred.
• Prior teaching or training experience at the post‑secondary level.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with computer applications.
