Adjunct Instructor – Computer Information Systems Technology

About the role

The position is an adjunct teaching role at Athens Technical College, responsible for delivering courses in Computer Information Systems Technology and supporting student success.

Key responsibilities

• Teach assigned courses, following program outcomes and approved syllabi.
• Administer and grade examinations, maintain accurate student records, and submit grades and reports on time.
• Participate in curriculum development, textbook review, and program advisory activities.
• Attend meetings, trainings, workshops, and ensure safety and security in training areas.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in a relevant computing discipline with at least 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching field.
• Credentialed to satisfy accrediting bodies for the assigned courses.
• Preferred: PhD and three or more years of industry or higher‑education teaching experience.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Blackboard learning platform.
• Knowledge of website design, computer networking, cybersecurity, data analytics, or computer programming.
• Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA, vendor‑specific certifications).
