About the role
The University of Pittsburgh School of Law seeks an adjunct faculty member to teach the Fall 2026 offering of LAW 5212 – Business Planning, Entrepreneurship & Technology. This 2‑credit course explores the legal and business challenges entrepreneurs encounter when launching a commercial venture.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver weekly lectures and facilitate class discussions for a 2‑credit course.
- Prepare course materials, case studies, and assignments that integrate legal and business perspectives.
- Assess student performance through exams, projects, and participation.
- Maintain office hours to support student learning and answer course‑related queries.
Required profile
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
- Graduate‑level teaching experience preferred.
- At least five years of practical experience in corporate law practice preferred.

What we offer
- Compensation of $2,500 per credit for the semester.
- Part‑time, regular appointment with potential bargaining unit eligibility.
