Adjunct Faculty – Precision Manufacturing & Maintenance

About the role

The State of Georgia seeks an Adjunct Faculty member to teach Precision Manufacturing and Maintenance. This part‑time position involves delivering classroom instruction in Machine Tool Technology and supporting student success in a technical college environment.

Key responsibilities

• Instruct and supervise students in manual and CNC machine operations.
• Develop program curricula, lesson plans, and course outlines.
• Evaluate student progress and maintain required documentation.
• Manage supplies, equipment, and budget requests for the training area.
• Ensure safety and security standards are met in the workshop.
• Collaborate with staff on recruitment, retention, and job placement initiatives.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree in a related field.
• Minimum three years of paid experience as a machinist or in the machining industry.
• Proficiency in manual machine operations and CNC equipment.
• Good interpersonal skills and basic computer proficiency.

What we offer

• Part‑time position with up to 29 hours per week.
• Hourly compensation of $22.50.
