Adjunct Faculty – Precision Machining & Manufacturing

About the role

The State of Georgia is seeking an Adjunct Faculty member to teach Precision Machining and Manufacturing. This position involves delivering technical instruction to students in machine tool technology and supporting the development of a skilled workforce.

Key responsibilities

• Instruct and supervise students in machine tool technology courses.
• Develop program and course outlines, goals, objectives, and lesson plans for credited technical/occupational courses.
• Evaluate student progress and maintain required documentation and administrative reports.
• Manage supplies, equipment, and budget requests; ensure safety and security in the training area.
• Collaborate with students, staff, and other educators on instructional programs and student issues.
• Assist with recruitment, retention, and job placement efforts.

Required profile

• Minimum three (3) years of work experience in machining and manufacturing.
• Proficiency in manual machine operations on lathes, mills, and grinders, as well as CNC equipment.
• Associate’s degree in machine tool technology or a related field (preferred).
• Five (5) years of machining and manufacturing experience, including technical instruction (preferred).
• Basic computer skills and good interpersonal, organizational, and leadership abilities.
