Adjunct Faculty – Nurse Aide/PT Care

About the role

The State of Georgia, through Southern Crescent Technical College, seeks an Adjunct Faculty member to teach Nurse Aide and Physical Therapy Care courses. This position supports the college’s mission to deliver high‑quality vocational education to future health‑care professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver lesson plans for credited technical and occupational courses.
• Evaluate student progress against curriculum objectives and provide feedback.
• Maintain classroom supplies, equipment, and budget requests.
• Prepare documentation for accreditation and state licensing compliance.
• Ensure safety and security standards in training areas.
• Collaborate with students, staff, and other educators on instructional programs.
• Assist with student recruitment, retention, and job placement initiatives.

Required profile

• Current Georgia Practical Nursing License.
• Minimum one (1) year of nursing experience.
• Bachelor of Science or Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• Teaching experience at the post‑secondary level is preferred.
• Active participation in professional nursing organizations.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Blackboard Learning Management System.
• Experience using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
• Strong computer and job‑related software skills.
