Adjunct Faculty – Doctor of Social Work (DSW) Program (Remote)

About the role

The University of Massachusetts Global seeks an experienced social work professional to join its Doctor of Social Work (DSW) program as an adjunct faculty member. This fully remote position involves teaching, mentoring, and supporting doctoral students throughout their academic journey.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate four 90‑minute synchronous class meetings per course each session.
• Deliver course content, lead discussions, and manage group work.
• Provide timely, substantive feedback on assignments and assessments.
• Mentor and coach doctoral students, fostering their professional development.
• Collaborate with department faculty and staff, responding promptly to communications.
• Utilize learning management systems and virtual collaboration tools (e.g., Zoom, Teams, OneDrive).
• Participate in required meetings, training, and development sessions.

Required profile

• Master of Social Work (MSW) from a CSWE‑accredited program.
• Minimum two years of post‑MSW practice experience in social work.
• Doctor of Social Work (DSW) or Ph.D. in social work or a related discipline.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
• Experience using Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and OneDrive for virtual instruction.
• Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications in higher education.
