Adj. Instructor, Paramedicine EMT/AEMT

About the role

The State of Georgia is seeking an Adjunct Instructor to teach Paramedicine EMT/AEMT courses. This part‑time position supports the Emergency Medical Technology program across college locations, providing students with hands‑on training and academic instruction.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver lesson plans that meet state, institutional, and accreditation standards.
• Teach EMT/AEMT courses at any college site as needed, including day and evening classes.
• Assess student progress, maintain documentation for accreditation, and manage classroom supplies and equipment.
• Ensure safety and security in training areas and support recruitment, retention, and job placement initiatives.
• Participate in committees, professional development activities, and other assigned duties.

Required profile

• Active paramedic license and NREMT certification.
• Associate’s degree in Paramedicine or a Bachelor’s degree in any field.
• Paramedic Instructor License from the Georgia State Office of EMS and Trauma.
• Minimum three years of paid, in‑field paramedic experience.
• Ability to meet licensing board requirements for instructional areas.

Required skills

• Experience with Blackboard or a similar Learning Management System.
