Actuarial Analyst III

About the role

Elevance Health is hiring an Actuarial Analyst III to complete diverse and complicated projects and perform complex actuarial studies. The role is open to several locations (Atlanta, Tampa, Indianapolis, St. Louis, Mason) and requires being in the office 1-2 days per week; candidates must live within commuting distance of an office unless an accommodation is granted.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and implement risk contracts, including experience analysis, pricing, filing and settlement work, and prepare management reports supporting new capitation initiatives.
• Assist in training actuarial trainees, analysts and specialists.
• Coordinate and direct special actuarial projects.
• Complete actuarial experience reports covering data collection, category of service logic, IBNR models and reconciliation to the general ledger.
• Support audits by explaining models and data and providing supporting detail.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree (BA/BS).
• Passed a minimum of four Society of Actuaries (SOA) actuarial exams and 3 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred skills

• Actuarial experience reports, including IBNR models and general ledger reconciliation.
• Supporting audit work by explaining models and data.
