About the role
Join Philips to develop next‑generation intracardiac echo products that improve image‑guided therapy for structural heart disease. You will apply acoustic wave propagation and signal‑processing theory to create innovative cardiac imaging algorithms and subsystems.
Key responsibilities
- Design and specify new cardiac imaging algorithms and imaging sub‑systems using acoustic wave theory.
- Participate in the development and implementation of ultrasound imaging capabilities, including development plans, algorithm design, integration strategy, 3D intracardiac echo transducer technology, and software implementation.
- Tune intracardiac echo ultrasound systems for optimal image quality and feature performance.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Product Management to define imaging feature requirements that meet clinical and market needs.
Required profile
- 5+ years of experience with ultrasound signal and image processing, filter design; linear and nonlinear wave propagation preferred.
- Experience in ultrasound imaging, beamforming, acoustic wave propagation theory, and transducer design; intracardiac echo experience a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Knowledge of clinical applications of cardiac ultrasound.
- Proficiency in Python, Matlab and C++ programming; experience with acoustic simulation software.
