Accounts Payable Administrator

About the role

Armstrong Fluid Technology is hiring an Accounts Payable Administrator in North Tonawanda. The role manages the end-to-end accounts payable process, ensuring supplier invoices are processed accurately and on time while keeping data integrity and complying with company policies and accounting practices. It covers supplier onboarding, invoice processing, payment administration, reconciliation, month-end close support and audit preparation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage supplier setup and validation, keeping supplier information accurate and complete
• Process high volumes of supplier invoices and review them against purchase orders for quantities, unit prices, terms and charges
• Prepare and run weekly payment runs, including ACH, wire transfers and manual checks
• Act as main contact for invoice queries and discrepancies, resolving issues with internal teams and suppliers
• Perform account reconciliations and handle payment voids, stop-payment requests, check reissues and stale-dated checks
• Maintain complete accounts payable records and supporting documentation
• Support month-end close, accrual preparation, financial reporting and audit activities
• Assist with special projects and process improvements

Required profile

• Associate's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance or a related field; a Bachelor's degree is preferred
• Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and best practices
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

Required skills

• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables
• Full-cycle accounts payable experience in an ERP environment
• Reporting and analytics tools such as Power BI preferred
