About the role
The State of Georgia is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead the accounting and financial operations for a technical college or system office. This position plays a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and supporting the mission of serving over 10 million citizens.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise accounting and financial staff, providing guidance and performance oversight.
- Oversee comprehensive accounting activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation for a technical college or system office.
- Ensure compliance with state regulations, accounting standards, and internal controls.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, public administration, or a closely related field.
- At least two years of professional experience in accounting.
