Accounting Manager – Hybrid (Medical Device Industry)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead core accounting activities for a medical device company in Parsippany, NJ. This hybrid position combines on‑site collaboration with remote flexibility, supporting timely month‑end closes, robust internal controls, and global coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Direct daily accounting operations to ensure accurate and timely month‑end close aligned with reporting deadlines.
• Supervise and develop an offshore accounting team.
• Review journal entries, monitor balance‑sheet reconciliations, and assess quarterly account fluctuations.
• Maintain compliance with internal control standards, U.S. GAAP, and SOX requirements.
• Lead process‑improvement initiatives to increase automation, consistency, and scalability of accounting functions.
• Reassess team responsibilities and workflow distribution to match shifting priorities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting.
• CPA certification.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a global, product‑ or manufacturing‑based environment, with at least 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Strong background in internal controls and SOX practices.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP (required).
