Accounting Manager & Bookkeeper (Hybrid, NYC)

About the role

We are seeking an accounting professional to own the day‑to‑day financial operations of a fast‑moving wholesale distributor. Reporting directly to ownership, this hands‑on role will manage bookkeeping, AR, AP, factoring, commission and royalty reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Full‑cycle accounts receivable and accounts payable.
• Factor account management, including credit approvals, collections, inventory certifications, chargeback disputes and reconciliation.
• Royalty reporting for a large portfolio of licensed brands.
• Commission reporting for sales representatives.
• General ledger maintenance and journal entries in QuickBooks Online.

Required profile

• Experience in wholesale product distribution.
• Hands‑on factoring experience with credit approvals, collections and chargeback management.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online.
• Experience with licensed‑brand royalty reporting is a plus.
• Detail‑oriented, self‑directed and comfortable working in a lean team environment.
