Accounting Clerk - Seasonal

About the role

Blossom Music Center, part of Legends Global, is hiring an Accounting Clerk for a part-time seasonal position. The clerk reports directly to the General Manager and handles day-to-day accounting, cash handling and record keeping for the venue.

Key responsibilities

• Answer general office phones, provide customer service and office support.
• Accounts receivable: receive and post payments and make bank deposits.
• Accounts payable: match invoices to point-of-sale, enter invoices and maintain vendor files.
• Cash handling: process daily cash deposits during the season.
• Store and maintain all financial records and follow company standard operating procedures.
• Create and review daily, weekly and monthly journal entries and receivables, and help reduce outstanding balances.
• Perform and review bank cash and credit reconciliations, resolving variances.
• Work with other departments on reporting needs and provide audit support for financial and operational activities.
• Monitor controls and enforce applicable Sarbanes-Oxley standards.

Required profile

• Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• One to three years of accounting experience, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, bank reconciliations and/or cash management; food service environment preferred.
• Ability to work events, nights, weekends and holidays.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office.
• Math, accuracy in counting money and making change, and quick addition.
• Organization, attention to detail and record keeping.
• Good communication skills and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
