Accountant – Retail Finance

About the role

Arabian Oud is looking for a detail‑oriented Accountant to join its finance team. The role involves managing the full spectrum of accounting activities, ensuring accurate financial records, and supporting compliance across a global retail operation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and reconcile accounts receivable, including customer invoices, payments and collections.
• Process accounts payable, vendor invoices, expense reports and ensure timely payments.
• Reconcile bank statements, handle cash transactions and maintain accurate cash records.
• Handle intercompany transactions, reconciliations and settlements in line with policy.
• Maintain the fixed‑asset register, record additions, disposals and depreciation, and conduct periodic physical counts.
• Oversee inventory counts, reconcile records and ensure accurate reporting.
• Assist in the preparation and review of tax returns and support tax audits.
• Coordinate external and internal audit activities, preparing documentation and addressing findings.
• Perform monthly reconciliations of all accounts and support the preparation of financial statements.
• Prepare payroll and other HR‑related accounting tasks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the retail sector.
• CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Oracle E‑Business Suite.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with standard Office applications.
