Accountant II – Medical Device Industry

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Accountant II to join our growing medical device company in Baldwin, NY. The role supports accurate financial record‑keeping, strong internal controls, and timely month‑end and year‑end close activities.

Key responsibilities

• Process and voucher vendor invoices, manage vendor and customer master files, and approve employee expense reports.
• Monitor recurring payments, review AP aging reports, and investigate discrepancies.
• Review AR aging, assist with collections, and coordinate with legal counsel when needed.
• Prepare prepaid expense schedules, depreciation entries, and reconcile general‑ledger accounts.
• Support month‑end and year‑end close, audit schedules, Sunshine Act reporting, and ensure GAAP compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing or medical‑device environments.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, month‑end close, and general‑ledger accounting.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and in a team.
