Accountant – Global Accounting Team

About the role

YETI is seeking an Accountant to join its Global Accounting team at the corporate headquarters in Austin, Texas. You will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy of financial statements, maintaining strong internal controls, and supporting the company’s growth.

Key responsibilities

• Perform month‑end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations and financial analysis.
• Prepare monthly AP accruals and SG&A expense accruals with proper cutoff.
• Partner with Payroll and FP&A teams to post accurate payroll‑related entries.
• Conduct routine and ad‑hoc variance analysis and explain fluctuations.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally to support business initiatives and update accounting processes.
• Document, monitor and enhance internal controls over key financial processes.
• Prepare audit support and participate in quarterly and annual external audit procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience; CPA designation preferred.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with SAP or a similar ERP system preferred.
• Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial statements.
• Experience performing account reconciliations and researching reconciling items.
• Analytical thinker with a focus on root‑cause analysis.
• Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements.
• High attention to detail and strong personal integrity.
