RH Strategic, a public‑relations agency based in Washington, D.C., is hiring an Account Supervisor, Media Relations. The position will serve technology, education and healthcare clients, shaping media narratives that influence policy, regulatory and business outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute earned‑media strategies that advance client business, policy and reputation goals.
• Develop fresh story angles and secure placements across print, digital and broadcast outlets.
• Leverage and expand relationships with national and policy‑focused journalists, editors and producers.
• Mentor junior team members on media outreach best practices.
• Act as a trusted advisor, guiding clients on media positioning, spokesperson readiness and stakeholder engagement.
• Oversee creation of media‑facing materials, ensuring consistency with broader communication objectives.
• Provide counsel during reputational, issues‑management or crisis situations, recommending rapid‑response tactics.
• Measure earned‑media impact and report insights to refine strategy and demonstrate outcomes.

Required profile

• Extensive experience operating within the Washington, D.C. policy ecosystem.
• Strong network of national and policy‑focused media contacts.
• Proven ability to translate complex technical or regulatory topics into compelling narratives.
• Track record of securing coverage in top‑tier and emerging media platforms.
• Current residence in the DMV metropolitan area.
