Account Manager – SMB Merchant Network

About the role

We are looking for an Account Manager to join our SMB Merchant Network. You will manage a portfolio of restaurants, optimise their Grubhub presence, improve menu pages and drive conversion while building strong relationships that fuel growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop a deep understanding of Grubhub’s products, features and value propositions.
• Manage a portfolio of restaurant accounts, ensuring timely communication and addressing basic inquiries.
• Help restaurants attract new diners, increase order volume and deliver high-quality service.
• Conduct regular check-ins, gather feedback and identify improvement opportunities.
• Respond to account issues or route them to the appropriate internal teams within turnaround expectations.
• Maintain accurate records of client interactions, notes and follow-up tasks.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.
• Proactively seek ways to contribute to team goals and initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; high school diploma/GED required.
• 2-4 years of sales or account-management experience, preferably with restaurant owners.
• Must reside in Chicago, IL or Philadelphia, PA.
• Native-level English fluency; Mandarin or Spanish a strong plus.
• Solution-oriented mindset with strong verbal and written communication.
• Proven track record of meeting and exceeding targets.
• Highly organised, self-starter with a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Experience using Google productivity tools.
• Familiarity with Salesforce.com or a similar CRM platform.

What we offer

• Hybrid work model – three days onsite, with flexibility to work up to five days in the office.
• Competitive base salary $64,000-$80,000 USD with uncapped commission and OTE up to $100,000.
