Account Executive - Energy & Regulated Markets

About the role

A growing, private equity-backed software company helps electric utilities and other highly regulated organizations connect workforce training, qualifications, scheduling and compliance. This Account Executive role is fully remote within the United States, with territory ownership focused on electric utilities, and offers a base of $100,000-$130,000 and $200,000-$260,000 OTE. Typical deals run $60K-$80K annually on three- to five-year terms.

Key responsibilities

• Create pipeline through outbound outreach, existing relationships, partners, industry events, referrals and inbound leads.
• Close new logos and expansion business, from discovery and demos through business case, procurement, security/legal review, negotiation and signature.
• Navigate training, operations, compliance, technical and executive stakeholders and connect the product to operational risk and business value.
• Keep a disciplined forecast in HubSpot and drive stalled deals forward.

Required profile

• Proven full-cycle B2B SaaS closing experience and evidence of personally creating new business.
• Experience selling into energy/utilities or another highly regulated market; general LMS experience alone is not enough.
• Documented quota attainment and evidence of top-quartile performance.
• Ability to sell complex products across multiple stakeholders and long buying cycles; about five years of relevant selling is ideal, with three to four years acceptable.
