Academic Breast Radiologist

About the role

Jefferson Health is seeking a fellowship-trained Breast Radiologist to join its team of healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate has a passion for breast imaging and a commitment to high-quality patient care. The position is based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Key responsibilities

• Perform and interpret a full range of breast imaging studies, including mammography, ultrasound, MRI and tomosynthesis.
• Provide accurate and timely diagnoses of breast conditions and diseases, including breast cancer, using advanced imaging techniques.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized treatment plans for patients with breast abnormalities.
• Participate in research initiatives and contribute to the advancement of knowledge in breast imaging.
• Mentor and supervise residents, fellows and other healthcare professionals in breast radiology techniques and interpretation.
• Provide onsite coverage to community centers based on location and convenience.

Required profile

• Medical degree from an accredited institution.
• ABR board certification or eligibility in Diagnostic Radiology.
• Fellowship training in Breast Imaging or equivalent experience.
• Valid medical license in Pennsylvania and/or New Jersey, or eligibility for licensure.

Required skills

• Proficiency in interpreting a wide variety of breast imaging studies.
