About the role
French Settlement Elementary is looking for a certified elementary teacher to lead a 2nd grade classroom. The successful candidate will join a supportive school community and be responsible for delivering a high‑quality learning experience to young learners.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver daily lessons aligned with state standards for 2nd grade.
- Assess student progress through observations, assignments, and formal evaluations.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and engaging classroom environment.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student achievement and needs.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to support school initiatives and professional development.
Required profile
- Valid teaching certification for elementary education.
- Experience or strong interest in teaching 2nd grade students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
