1st Shift Home Health Aide / Caregiver

About the role

AdvisaCare is hiring for in-home caregivers / CNAs to provide basic care in home settings, working the 1st shift. The schedule is 16 hours per week, three days a week, four hours each day, and travel within the Oakland and Macomb County area is required.

Key responsibilities

• Provide health care services in patients' residences
• Perform domestic and household tasks, including light housekeeping and meal preparation
• Transport and accompany patients to doctors' offices or hospitals
• Administer simple prescribed medications
• Assist with personal care, mobility and physical therapy exercises
• Monitor vital signs and other conditions and report on them
• Maintain care records and document services provided
• Instruct and counsel patients and families on diet and exercise
• Provide companionship

Required profile

• High school graduate or GED
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
• Ability to work in a team, responsibly and independently
• Good communication skills
• CPR certified
• Ability to pass a drug screen and clear background check
