1st and 3rd Shift Home Health Aide / Caregiver

About the role

AdvisaCare is hiring home health aides for 1st and 3rd shift positions in Howell, Michigan. The work is part-time and focuses on providing hands-on care to one client at a time, with shift work available.

Key responsibilities

• Provide health care services in patients' residences
• Perform domestic and household tasks
• Accompany patients to the doctor's office or hospital
• Administer simple prescribed medications
• Assist with clients' personal care activities
• Monitor patients (vital signs, temperature, respiration, etc.) and report on their condition
• Maintain patient care records and document services provided
• Assist patients with mobility and physical therapy exercises
• Instruct and counsel patients and families on diet and exercise
• Provide companionship and basic emotional or psychological support

Required profile

• High school graduate or GED
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
• Ability to work in a team, responsibly and independently
• Good communication skills
• Ability to travel within the service area
• Ability to pass a drug screen and clear background check
